Examples of Other relevant Projects I have been a part of

At DICE LA I built and ran “Retroland”, a dedicated retro gaming space for the studio to play classic videogames across countless platforms in a fully furnished arcade like environment. Leveraging a large chunk of my personal collection, this was a labour of love that the Studio was extremely supportive of and became a addition to the Studios Culture, one that many loved.

Retroland

A personal project designed to bring the History of Videogames to a younger generation (years 5 & 6) at a local school. I believe that we do not teach the cultural and societal impact of Videogames, yet we do with Music, Film, and Television! Each week I combine a short presentation on a specific topic followed by hands on gameplay with the relevant games and systems.

At many locations I have also had a lot of fun running Retro Tournaments bring folks together to discover classic games and compete in friendly competition. From mutli-game open challenge sessions to intense head-to-head competitions I would host, these were always fun to watch, participate in, and organise

Retro Rumble

Around the DICE LA studio were a number of screens dotted around that were used to share information with staff. I took on the role of adding additional Retro and Videogame History info cards that celebrated our shared history and tied into Retroland. Capturing screen shots, sprites, and relevant info together, these weekly updates were a fun part of adding to the Studio Culture.
